Pumpkin Patches and Weekend Fun!

We had a fun and eventful weekend around here!  Fall weekends are always packed with activities and this one was no different.  Have I mentioned I love the Fall?! ;)

I'll start with Thursday as it was our actual anniversary.  We went for a quick family hike up the M.  We only made it part way up because hiking isn't exactly Avery's favorite activity, and she had had enough.  After our hike, we got some takeout, because let's face it, I don't want to cook on my anniversary, and then headed home.  Doug and I fed the kids and put them to bed and then had a relaxing dinner just the two of us.  It was pretty low-key, but that was just what we needed after our big weekend trip!

We saw some paragliders!

I love my family!

Friday evening, we visited some friends to meet their new baby.  They had a baby boy a couple weeks ago about a month before his due date, so he just got to come home from the hospital, and we were so excited to meet him. He's a cutie and made our kids look HUGE.  I never thought Avery would look big, but compared to little Theo, she is a giant!

So tiny!

Av looks huge!

After visiting awhile, we went home and had family movie night.  We got a little behind schedule, so we didn't have time for a movie and watched an episode of Daniel Tiger instead.  I don't think Drew was too disappointed!

Saturday morning, we had breakfast and then headed out to Rocky Creek Farm to pick out some pumpkins.  It was a really cool place for kids (and adults for that matter!).  They had a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, farm animals, pumpkin smashing and more for everyone to enjoy.  We had an absolute blast.  We checked out the grounds and then headed to the patch to pick out our pumpkins.  We each got a pumpkin and Drew picked one for Avery too!  It was so much fun!

They had all sorts of bikes and trikes for the kids to ride.  Of course Drew loved them!

Chickens!

Pigs!

It was a little heavy for him!

Searching for our pumpkins!

We found some good ones!

Beautiful spot for a pumpkin patch!

Weighing our pumpkins!

Mine was the biggest!

Avery had a blast at the patch!

Rocky Creek!

Our stroller was loaded down with pumpkins!

Saturday afternoon was another Bobcat game.  This weekend, Doug went to the game while I stayed home with the kids.  They both napped for a bit and then we watched the game on TV!  Saturday night, we had family pizza and movie night to make up for missing it Friday night.  I made a pizza and we watched Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest!  It was a good movie for Drew because he loves Curious George and it was also festive for the season.  That's a win/win in my book!

Napping!  I love that she covers her eyes when it's too bright!

Popcorn and Bobcats....two of Drew's favorite things!

Movie Night!

Avery fell asleep!

Sunday morning, Drew majorly slept in, so Avery and I had some time to play just the two of us.  Doug ran out to grab some things at the grocery store for dinner that night, and spoiled us by picking up some donuts!  Yum!  Sunday we did some cleaning and ran some errands.  It was a productive day and it was nice to get some of those things done.  By Sunday night, we had some pretty sleepy kids, which I think is a sign of a successful weekend.

Such a happy girl!

Drew's Halloween donut!

I think he liked it!

She fell asleep during her last bottle.  So beautiful!

Hope you all had a great weekend too.  Happy Monday!
