Happy Memorial Day!!
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are spending today remembering those who have so courageously and selflessly given their service to protect our wonderful country. I will especially be remembering my grandfather, Curtis Trapp, who served in the Korean War on the island of Paengnyong-do off the coast of Seoul, South Korea. He was a hero, and I love him and miss him everyday!
It takes pretty special men and women to join the service and give up so much to protect us, so I thank you today and every day! God Bless America!

High Five for Friday!
It's Friday once again, and we're headed into a long weekend!! Long weekends are the best, especially this time of year because Doug only works half day Fridays too, so we get him for three and a half days! Yay! We don't really have much planned, but it will be nice to spend some time together as a family.
We had a fun week around here too. The weather was beautiful and we got to spend quite a bit of time outside, which makes for a happy mama and a happy Drew. Here's a roundup of the best of the week:
We had a fun week around here too. The weather was beautiful and we got to spend quite a bit of time outside, which makes for a happy mama and a happy Drew. Here's a roundup of the best of the week:
- We had date night last night and rode our bikes to Frank's Deli for dinner. It was a gorgeous night and we had a great ride. We also got to eat on the patio at Frank's, which made it feel like it's officially summer! It was a pretty great date night!
- Drew got a new carseat this week. We are going on a long road trip to Colorado next weekend, so we figured it was time for him to graduate out of the infant carseat and into a big boy carseat. It's a little bittersweet as it's just another reminder that my baby is growing up so fast! I think he'll enjoy having a little more room on our trip though, and I guess it was probably about time to give him an upgrade!
- Drew's getting so much better at walking. It's like he turned a corner this week, and was less apt to look for a finger before taking off. He's walking more and more on his own and using his hands less and less for balance. He even kicked a ball around and chased it for quite a while. It was pretty darn cute!
- Drew and I went for a run this morning, and what a beautiful morning it was! The sun was shining, and I think we both enjoyed the fresh air. I ran a personal best with the stroller too, which made me happy. After my run was over, I went to put Drew in the car and found him sound asleep. I don't know how he did it, but it sure was cute!
- We're heading into a long weekend, which is definitely a highlight of the week. Tonight we are also getting together for dinner with friends that we haven't seen in quite a while. It will be nice to catch up and hopefully enjoy the beautiful weather with a little BBQ!
This week was a good one, and we're only expecting the weekend to get better! Hope you all enjoy your holiday weekend too! Happy Friday!

Wednesday Wisdom - With Love
If you read my post yesterday, you know that I have a necklace that says "with love" in Hawaiian, which is me ke aloha. I got it as a reminder that I always wanted to live each day with love. From my actions to my speech to my thoughts, I want them all to be done with love. No matter the situation, if you come at it with love, you're bound to succeed. We could all use a little more love in this crazy world, and since we can only control ourselves, I'm going to choose to let all that I do be done with love, and I hope you will too! Me ke aloha!

Loving Lately!
I've decided to do a little series of things I've been loving lately. I've broken it up into three categories: clothing/accessories, food/drink, and beauty products/makeup. It's always fun for me to see what others have been loving lately, so I figured you all might be interested as well. Today, I'm going to start with clothing/accessories.
- Juneau Luxe Bingin Bracelet - I have been wanting a Juneau Luxe bracelet for awhile now, so I finally decided to treat myself to it for Mother's Day when they had a 20% off sale. I first saw the bracelets on Instagram, and I've been coveting them ever since. It's cute and summery and the perfect accessory for many of my outfits!
- Crochet Toms - I'm definitely slow to the game when it comes to Toms. This is my first pair, and my mom got them for me for my birthday this year in January. I have just recently started wearing them since it hasn't been warm enough up until lately, and I have to say, I've quickly fallen in love. They are comfortable and cute and they go with just about everything since they are a neutral color. I love the lace detail. They dress up any old outfit. I'm definitely going to get another pair soon because they have quickly become my favorite pair of shoes!
- Gap Jeans - I'm finally back in my pre-baby jeans and it feels so good! Unfortunately, my post-baby body, while the same size I was before, is not really the same shape. I've found that Gap jeans have been a great fit for me now. They have a little bit higher of a waist, which is nice, so I don't feel like an old lady wearing teen jeans. I've really been liking the skinny roll-up and the legging jeans!
- Gold Bar Necklace - I decided to get my sister a gold bar necklace for her birthday because I knew she'd love it. I've seen them on so many different people, and I just really like the look. I ordered one for her, and just had to get one for myself. I got mine engraved with the saying "me ke aloha," which means "with love" in Hawaiian. It's a reminder for me that I always want to act, speak, and live "with love." So cute!
- Loft Lou & Grey Waterfall Cardigan - I originally saw this sweater on another blogger's Instagram and immediately loved it. I ordered one for myself and I have to say it is my new favorite sweater. It's the perfect weight and I absolutely love the color (I have dusty snow speckle). It's flattering and the perfect sweater to throw on over whatever you're wearing. I have a feeling I will be grabbing it constantly for those cool summer nights when I need to add a layer!
Well, there you have it....some of the clothing and accessories that I've been loving lately. Next week I'll be back with food and drink items that I've been loving!

Weekend Rewind!
We had a pretty good weekend around here. The weather was absolutely gorgeous on Saturday, which allowed us to get some much needed yard work done. We got a new mower too, which came Saturday morning, so that was kind of fun. Doug loves the new mower, and Drew seemed to like it too!
Of course, Doug had to mow as soon as we got it, so Drew and I did some swinging while we waited. As you can see, it was beautiful, so we didn't mind.
Doug and I got some yard work done while Drew took an afternoon nap, and then we decided to run some errands. It was just so gorgeous out that we decided to take the Jeep, and take Drew for his first spin in the Jeep with the top down. He loved it, of course!!
After running our errands, we stopped at Lockhorn Cider for a hard cider, and then went to dinner at Ale Works. Drew was loving his water at the cider house, maybe even more than mom and dad were liking their cider!
Sunday, the weather took a turn for the worse, so we didn't get to have quite as much fun outside. We did more yard work Sunday morning, and ran a few errands Sunday afternoon. We had a pretty severe thunderstorm in the afternoon with heavy rain, which hopefully helped the seed and fertilizer we put on the yard in the morning work exceptionally well.
It was a nice, relaxing weekend, and we got lots accomplished around the house, which is always a good thing. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well! Happy Monday!

High Five for Friday!
High five for Friday! It's been a good week, and it's sure to be an even better weekend. We had some pretty great weather this week, finally, which made it that much better. I sure hope it's here to stay!
Here's a recap of the five highlights of our week:
Here's a recap of the five highlights of our week:
- We had beautiful weather this week, which allowed us to have quite a bit of fun outside. On Tuesday night, we got to eat out on our deck for the first time this year. It was so fun to eat outside, and Drew really loved it too. He couldn't stop laughing the entire meal!
- Because we had such beautiful weather on Thursday, Drew and I decided to go for an afternoon walk. It was absolutely gorgeous outside, and Drew was looking mighty cute if I do say so myself! I think this is my new favorite picture of him!
- We had date night on Thursday, and started the evening off taking in a Bozeman Hawk fastpitch softball game. Unfortunately, the Hawks didn't do too well, but it was fun to be outside and enjoy the atmosphere. I sure miss being at the fields every summer, so it was nice to reminisce on those days a little. After the game, we went to the Smiling Moose for a quick dinner so we could get Drew home at a reasonable time. We saved just enough time on the ride home for a quick trip through Burger King for our first 50 cent cones of the summer! Yumm!
- Drew loves to swing! And boy did we do some swinging this week. He gets the biggest smile on his face, and he just loves every minute of it. It's so fun to see such sheer joy on his face!
- And finally, Drew was a highlight of my week, as always! Here are some too cute pictures of him that I just have to share. He's so funny and makes me laugh every day. I can tell he's learning so much all the time, and it's so fun to see him progress. He's getting so good at communicating with me, and I absolutely love that I feel like I know what he's thinking and feeling more and more every day!
There you have it.....the top five of our week! Hope you had a wonderful week as well, and you're looking forward to the weekend. Happy Friday!!
