Life's Little Curves: High Five for Friday!

It's Friday once again, and we're headed into a long weekend!! Long weekends are the best, especially this time of year because Doug only works half day Fridays too, so we get him for three and a half days! Yay! We don't really have much planned, but it will be nice to spend some time together as a family.

We had a fun week around here too. The weather was beautiful and we got to spend quite a bit of time outside, which makes for a happy mama and a happy Drew. Here's a roundup of the best of the week:

We had date night last night and rode our bikes to Frank's Deli for dinner. It was a gorgeous night and we had a great ride. We also got to eat on the patio at Frank's, which made it feel like it's officially summer! It was a pretty great date night!
Drew got a new carseat this week. We are going on a long road trip to Colorado next weekend, so we figured it was time for him to graduate out of the infant carseat and into a big boy carseat. It's a little bittersweet as it's just another reminder that my baby is growing up so fast! I think he'll enjoy having a little more room on our trip though, and I guess it was probably about time to give him an upgrade!
Drew's getting so much better at walking. It's like he turned a corner this week, and was less apt to look for a finger before taking off. He's walking more and more on his own and using his hands less and less for balance. He even kicked a ball around and chased it for quite a while. It was pretty darn cute!
Drew and I went for a run this morning, and what a beautiful morning it was! The sun was shining, and I think we both enjoyed the fresh air. I ran a personal best with the stroller too, which made me happy. After my run was over, I went to put Drew in the car and found him sound asleep. I don't know how he did it, but it sure was cute!
We're heading into a long weekend, which is definitely a highlight of the week. Tonight we are also getting together for dinner with friends that we haven't seen in quite a while. It will be nice to catch up and hopefully enjoy the beautiful weather with a little BBQ!
