Bicycle Tour!

Last Friday afternoon, we had a pretty fun biking adventure.  Doug got home from work around noon and we quickly ate some lunch and then packed up everything we would need for the afternoon and headed out on our bicycles, with Drew following along in the Burley.  The idea was to get a good ride in around town while stopping for some fun along the way.  Drew was extremely tired when we first took off, so we extended the first part of our ride so that he could get a little nap in.  We rode by the MSU football stadium, since that is one of Doug's favorite places in Bozeman.

Once Drew woke up, we decided to make our way to the park.  When we got there, it was full of kids all having so much fun.  We put Drew in the swing for the first time ever.  At first, he didn't like it much, but after swinging back and forth a couple times, he really started to enjoy it.  Drew is an outdoorsy kid and he loves the wind in his face, so a swing is his perfect match.  We spent some time at the park and then got back on our bikes and headed downtown.

Next, we made a quick stop at the Bozone Brewery.  Doug had a beer while Drew and I enjoyed some water and puffs.  After our stop at the Bozone, we rode a little longer.  After a bit, we decided to head back downtown to get a quick happy hour drink and some dinner.  We went to Ted's Montana Grill for happy hour and sat on their front patio.  It was absolutely perfect!  The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed spending some time outside.  Drew had some of Ted's pickles, which he really enjoyed.  I think he's his momma's son!

After Ted's, we made our way down to Ale Works for dinner.  We ordered Drew his first kid's menu meal, which made him seem so grown up.  We all really liked our meals, especially Drew.  He loves eating grown up food!  After dinner, we had the ride back home to look forward to.  It's mostly uphill, so we knew it would be a bit of a challenge, but it was pretty fun!  One thing we love about our house is that you can't go anywhere from the house and back without getting a workout because it's just so hilly!  We made it home just as Drew was falling asleep....perfect timing.  We had a great afternoon and beautiful weather to enjoy!! I can sure get used to having Doug around on Friday afternoons!  Welcome Summer!!
