We had such a great trip to Maui! It was great to spend some uninterrupted time with my family, and who doesn't love the beach?! We had great weather and were able to get quite a bit of ocean time, which we all enjoyed. Drew did excellent on the trip, from flying to spending time at the ocean. I think he really liked Maui! He was giggly and happy for the majority of the time we were there. I'm sure he had fun, and I can't wait until he gets a little older and I can show him pictures from his first trip to Maui when he was only seven months old! What a lucky little guy, and I have to say, we're about as blessed as they come to have him.
Here are a few pictures from our trip. Warning: There are quite a few, so be warned!
Here we are on the flight to Honolulu. Drew slept the majority of the plane rides, which was good because in total we had nine takeoffs and landings. He did great on every flight and only cried a little. We had all sorts of people compliment us on how well-behaved he was. It certainly eased our fears, as I think both Doug and I were worried about flying with a seven month old.
Cruising through the airport. Drew loved his little pop-up stroller! And mom and dad loved it too because we didn't have to carry him the whole time!
Doug enjoying some coffee early Saturday morning in Honolulu before we boarded the plane to Maui.
My poor family got stuck in Las Vegas due to weather, and weren't able to make it to Maui with us. We were all meeting in Vegas and taking the same plane to Honolulu, but because they missed the flight, Doug and I arrived in Maui a day earlier than them. Unfortunately, that left us, with all of this luggage and a baby! We managed, but we were missing our help and wished they could have made the trip with us!
Drew in the stroller in the airport, anxiously awaiting the beach!
When we got to our resort, we took Drew for a walk to Whaler's Village. He fell asleep, so I don't think he was that interested!
Ready for the beach!
The first night, Doug and I had dinner alone because my family didn't make it. It's always fun to have fruity cocktails when you're in paradise!
Here's a picture of Drew sleeping the first night. I think he liked Maui because he was even smiling while he slept!
Drew on the beach! It was a challenge to keep him from eating the sand!
Doug and my brother-in-law, Erick. Ready to do some paddle boarding. The boys enjoyed using their Go Pro's to take video of the paddle boarding. You can see that Erick has his on his head!

Here we are waiting to board the sunset cruise boat. The cruise was lots of fun, and it was Drew's first official boat ride!

It got a little rough, so Drew and I retreated below deck for awhile. He got to suck on his first carrot stick!

So cute!
Group shot. We all had such a fun time together. I love my family and I'm so happy we were able to go on a trip together!
Drew got to crawl around on the nets of the boat for awhile.
Ready to hit the beach!
Getting some sun!
Drew got to come to the beach too. He spent all of his time under an umbrella so he wouldn't get any sun.
The ocean. We were lucky enough to have pretty decent waves every day we were there. The last couple days brought in some really big waves!
Drew sitting with dad under the umbrella.
Thanksgiving night. We went to Lahaina and had dinner at the Hard Rock Café. It was a little weird to not have the traditional turkey and Thanksgiving day food, but we weren't complaining!
A view of Lanai from Lahaina.
My wonderful parents, who made this trip possible. We thank you so much for taking us all to Hawaii. We had so much fun. Love you so so much!

Each couple took a night to make dinner for the group. Doug and I made chicken and shrimp skewers with rice. It was delicious! We had to do a little grocery shopping for our meal, so here's Drew in the cart.
It was his first time riding in the cart like a big boy!
Lahaina high school's football field. Not a bad place to play or watch a game!
