Of course, we ran into a few problems as we began decorating. Three of the four strands of lights we had to put on the tree were only half lit, so we had to replace bulbs to finally get three strands that worked and one that is now the replacement bulb strand. Then, once the lights were on the tree, the first strand would not plug into the second because its prongs were too big. Instead of starting over, we decided to have two strands of lights plugged in behind our tree. What a mess! I think that's how it goes every year for every person (or is it just me who always struggles?!), but we finally got the lights on and the tree decorated. It looks really good, and I'm happy to finally have Drew's first Christmas tree up!
Drew didn't really love decorating and was a bit of a crier all night. We finally got him to calm down by letting him play with the strings on dad's hoodie! He really loves strings!
When it was finally time for bed, my little reindeer was a happy camper! So sweet!
It was a fun day full of Christmas activities, and we only have more as this week goes on. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
Love your tree!! It's a beautiful one! Konstantin was overly excited about the MN ornaments and suddenly our tree was no longer as cool as yours! ha - I'm glad Drew cheered up! I think he liked the strings because he remembered that hoodie is from his favorite place -- HAWAII! :)
ReplyDeleteOh and I love that he just wants dad's strings! Lol. I'm with Jenna, he is missing Hawaii! (How she figured that out I'll never know!)
